Oriental medicine and acupuncture are among the CAM (Complimentary Alternative Medicine) therapies most frequently recommended by the intermist and family physicians and is most currently practiced in over 140 hospitals in the U.S.
An examination of 43 pain clinics in North American children’s hospitals revealed that approximately one-third offered acupuncture services. Most research suggests that large number of children are being referred for acupuncture. This is acceptable to their parents, and they are happy with the experience overall. This suggests that children really aren’t afraid of needles nor are the parents. All treatments can be done ‘needleless as well’ for all children’s conditions using variety of modalities practiced by licensed acupuncturists and doctor’s of oriental medicine. Treatment are simple, gentle, effective and non-evasive. Children are treated for: ADHD, allergies, asthma, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, colic, tantrums, weak, constitution, eczema, hives, ear infections, stuttering, bed wetting, chronic pain, depression, pediatric migraine, chronic fatigue, neurological disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, and chemo side-effects. Treatments can include progressive relaxation, guided imagery, hypnosis, manual therapy along with non-inception techniques or light gentle insertion treatments which children find comfortable and even pleasurable. Dramatic results can be obtained even with very light gentle treatments.
